Panasonic, through its IGNITION Open Innovation platform, is building a business-first startup collaboration capability focused on co-creating scalable digital services rather than running conventional accelerators or investment programs. The Co.lab Studio by IGNITION is envisioned as a strategic, long-term capability that enables Panasonic to work deeply with a small number of high-quality startups to deliver pilots, integrations, and revenue-linked use cases.

At the core of this initiative is Panasonic MirAIe, an IoT and AI-enabled platform around which startups are expected to co create solutions for Cycle 1 program, which focuses on priority domains such as Energy, Wellness and Wellbeing. The intent is to move beyond discovery into problem framing, pilot execution, platform integration, and commercialization readiness, in close collaboration with Panasonic’s internal business, product, and technology teams.

Ultimately, Co.lab Studio by IGNITION aims to deliver tangible business outcomes for startups through working pilots, validated MirAIe aligned use cases, and integration ready startup solutions, while laying the foundation for a repeatable and scalable open innovation engine within IGNITION.

The program will proceed by selecting a focused cohort of startups and enabling structured integration with the MirAIe platform. This will be followed by pilot deployment with relevant business units, validation of use cases, revenue-aligned KPIs, and scale-up of commercially ready solutions through IGNITION.
